As I watch more and more Olympics, I find myself asking the REAL questions…the ones that people are anxious to talk about, the ones that people are hiding from…..but no, this blog is going to bring those issues to light and we’re going to get them out in the open.

This question being WTH???

Can the women of beach volleyball not afford an entire bathing suit?  The men are covered from neck to knee, maybe they can donate some material!!  Let’s start a committee…….who’s with me??

In the meantime…here is the updated medal count as the USA makes its way to 2nd. Watch out China, here we come!  :)

  1. Why you picking on the girls uniform? Yes, uniform! Isn’t it obvious that each girl has the same style outfit on? I found it surprising they had long sleeve shirts on the other day when I saw them for the first time. One of the announcers said they have the option to wear long sleeves once the temp dips under 60 degrees. They must have been really chilly. Poor girls. I vote we show more respect for their outfit and demand, yes demand, that the girls playing field hockey also wear the same uni as the beach volleyballers. Who is with ME??? Swimmers too…! Why not the bicyclists too?

    1. HAHA, only if the guys have options as well. Our poor fellas…covered from almost head to toe! Seems to be a bit one sided, as usual. And the long sleeves were awesome! Their hienies must have been chilly too, so I say they also wear spandex pants…or yoga pants, something to cover up! WHO IS WITH ME???????????? :)

  2. I do not know how they concentrate on the ball when they have a constant wedgie! I know when I am laying out I fear flipping onto my stomach because I know the bathing suit has ridden a little far. I could not imagine hitting a ball in a bottom that is cut to show 25% of your cheeks! My Underwear has more coverage!

    1. LOL!! And honestly, when you spend more time digging for underwear than you do the volleyball…it might be time to go one or two sizes bigger! :) Thanks for a great comment

    2. This was my argument the last time I visited this blog, remember Jill? lol
Those poor girls are gonna lose half their arse if it’s getting too cold for them that they need to wear long sleeves. Uh voy!

      1. Oh yes…sorry, my brain isn’t keeping up. Hahaha…And again, YOU ARE SO RIGHT! LOL….bet you get tired of hearing that, huh? :)

    1. I was giggling when I posted this, but the comments??? LOVE it and am cracking up right along with you grapes! :)

  3. I was discussing this with somebody the other day. The Russian players, those poor women, spent more time picking their wedgies rather than playing. I would’ve much preferred their uniforms being more like a tank or sports bra and better fitting shorts. If athletes wanted to wear thongs while playing beach volleyball sponsors would’ve saved money on material if that were the case, but c’mon this is a professional sport, shouldn’t people be wearing something they can actually play in and not be embarrassed by a camera zooming in at the wrong time {that time she decides to pick that wedgie}?

    1. I know, right?!! That’s what I’m saying. And I’m sure even with the type of “shorts” the indoor volleyball girls wear, beach volleyball would still get the man’s attention. But really? Is that the point of the game? I say we start a drive “DIG OUT THE VOLLEYBALL, NOT THE PANTIES”!! :)

      1. Hahaha! That’s a fantastic idea! I winder how effective it would be. Write up a petition and well see how far it goes lol

        1. I’ll wait for someone else to do it…hahaha. :)

  4. The bikinis don’t bother me, as much make me uncomfortable to watch. So…maybe it does bother me. I saw a woman who kept picking a wedgie and I just wanted to yell at her to wear something that would allow her to focus more on the game than her butt. I also might have been a little bitter that I don’t look good in a bikini anymore, but that’s besides the point.

    1. Haha, no Mae, it really is uncomfortable to watch. Make point, dig at panties, dig at volleyball, dig at panties, high five your teammate, dig at panties…poor girls! :)

      1. Yea…you pretty much pegged the progression of the game. High five!

  5. Love this Jill, My thoughts exactly! Can’t imagine they could be comfortable. As always you make me laugh.

    1. Glad to hear it and will continuously try!!

  6. My thoughts exactly on the scantly covered volleyball players. I mean if she had to take a medical time out for her cold feet, wasnt the rest of her body a little chilled too? Looks like it would be a distraction to your game if you constantly have to dislodge your bottom briefs from your buttocks after each serve. I’m just saying….. ;-)

    1. SHUT UP! Someone took a “medical time out” for her feet? I didn’t catch that…………wow. And lol, you’re so right about the distractions…haha :)

      1. Yep a medical time out for one of the US teams. I was rolling laughing when I heard the announcer saying “we are in the midst of a medical time out because her feet got numb from it being too cold.” Yet her body was scantly clad with a thin bikini, and only her feet was cold. I’m sorry but come on….are you serious…?? Learn something new everyday.

        1. I’m with you….really? Try covering your arse and maybe your feet would warm up. haha. I once read that your wrist controls your body temperature and therefore, if the wrist gets cold, the rest of you gets cold. Wonder if she should have worn those wristbands? Oh, and a headband would be funny too. LOL :)

Tell me....dish...lemme know...
