Can you believe there was yet another gymnastics appeal? And it was also successful? With the fairly new grading system, we will never have another “perfect 10″, but honestly, it doesn’t appear as if there will ever be drama free judging in this sport. I’ve had people tell me that they only watch the Olympic sports that aren’t subjective…meaning they’ll watch track, after all, the clock is the judge….or volleyball or soccer or swimming….just not gymnastics or diving or anything involving a human as the only real deciding factor.
That’s a bit extreme.
But, back to the topic at hand. Day eleven is over and we find China widening their medal lead…I’m not giving up on the hope that we will still catch up and surpass, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be by much, IF it happens at all. Either way, both countries can be proud of their performances. And so can GB! Wow, what a wonderful surprise. When the gymnast (I believe she’s somewhere around 26 or 27 years old) made it to the podium, what a moment for her and her country! Bloody spectacular!

Yeah, I can’t wait for the cameras to be off him. What’s with the track people dancing and primping for the cameras?? I don’t like it…
I love to watch gymnastics but, much like figure skating, the rules are so ridiculous that it’s hard for spectators and fans to understand. The timed events, for me, become monotonous. Frankly, I don’t care to watch anyone swim again for a while. Beach volleyball on the other hand, I can watch all the time.
I’m with ya on the ridiculous rules and they’re making it so very hard on the gymnasts…how can they flip, jump, and turn any longer, higher, and better than they already are?? haha…
I’m loving this because I stay up to watch and then with my spawn getting up at the butt-crack of dawn I have no idea what I actually watched the previous night! Thanks for keeping me up to date! You Rock!

Ohhhhh…I like that….I’m so doing that tonight to the younger two – the oldest one will figure it out – second might, but the little two – I’ll get them my pretties!!!!
