They say don’t talk about finance, religion, or politics in mixed company, but this is a blog and in blogland we’re allowed to talk about anything we want. That’s how we roll!
Pretend you have to convince someone to vote for your chosen guy…tell us who you are voting for and most importantly, WHY. I am firm in my choice, but who knows?? Can I be swayed? Ummm…possibly is all I will give on this one. Firm is firm, but I guess a good argument can go a long way.
Even if you’re not in the USA, feel free to let us know where you stand on this issue. We may be a little country, but we sure are strong and the President of the United States (along with Congress) affects us all.
And here’s another question…do you vote for an entire side? If you’re replubican, do you put the check by all republican nominees no matter who they are? Same with democrats, do you vote for the party, or the people?
Happy Bloggin’ Ya’ll!

Vote for the bloke.
Or in our country we can vote for the Monster Raving Looney Party
Oh boy oh boy oh boy… an invite to talk about American politics
Firstly, I’m not American, and not in America. I’m in one of those ‘little’ countries; Brazil, and American politics affect us down here.
Republicans or Dems, both are as dangerous to America and the world as each other. My observation is that anyone voting for either needs to be certified.
The only real difference between them is the speed at which they fall to their knees in front of the corporations.
Vote for anyone who will support the removal of the Federal Reserve and neutralise it’s powers. Anyone with half a brain can see that the Fed is the root of America’s economic woes. A proviso to the previous paragraph, there are a few Reps and Dems who are in favour of this.
Vote for anyone who will hold bankers and Wall St accountable and imprisonable.
The two party system is the rot in the woodwork, get rid of it.
I love Mondays
Have a good one.

AV … Your comments are a Bull’s-Eye, You Hit the mark. I love your line “The only real difference between them is the speed at which they fall to their knees in front of the corporations.”
There is in fact quite a difference.
I won’t say too much on the subject, but as a Planned Parenthood volunteer, I’m rather tired of the assault on women and our reproductive rights. There’s a clear dividing line here.
I’m with Nelle here…my choice is clear, due to my gender
I’m not American (South African) but I am fascinated by American politics. For me, Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama’s speeches at the DNC said it all
The Republican brand of politics does not sit well with me.
I am a born conservative so typically I am going to follow the conservative candidate. I like to think that I critically assess both candidates before making a decision. What I do know is that compeling speeches do not necessarily make a great President. Intelligence and experience hasn’t seemed to be the perfect combination either. Unfortunately there are those with these qualities who are already in place and our country is not better off for them. Quite a conundrum!!!
You want to know who I’m voting for and why… Well, to answer your questions, here’s the opening line of my blog on http://www.noulteriormotive.com … “The purpose of this article is to get as many people as I can to vote and to vote for the incumbent’s opponent.” And, in that same article, I also make another suggestion about who a person can vote for in addition the names on the ballot … it’s only 750 some words and is G rated. If you dare, go there and read 55 YEARS IS LONG ENOUGH…. believe me 55 years is truly long enough.
I can’t vote the straight party line – I tend to vote independent. I guess I go with what I feel is the best choice at the time. There are certain issues I can’t bend on that are in direct contradiction with other issues. More Democrat than Republican. However, locally it really depends on what’s going on with each particular issue. I think it’s awesome you opened this up.
Ugh. I thought I was going to stay out of the election thing on my blog, too, but then I couldn’t help myself! Here’s on statistic: if you wanted to watch all the political commercials in one sitting, it would take over 6 months. That’s watching 24 hours a day, 30 and 60 second spots.
Holy Crapoli! That’s just crazy. I’m so glad it’s over…for a couple years anyway
