End of Day Six…

USA teams were taking care of business on day six.  In some very highly anticipated events Gabby got the Gold in the women’s gymnastics individual all around, Phelps and Lochte got Gold and Silver respectively in a much awaited matchup, so with those and some others great medal achievements on day six, we finally took the medal count lead.

I don’t expect to lose the lead with track and field events coming up, but we shall see. GO USA!!

Happy Bloggin’ Ya’ll!

End of Day Five…

Well day five has been alot like days three and four…roller coaster rides!! Men’s gymnastics held individual all arounds and I couldn’t be more sad for John Orozco and his family. The games haven’t been great for him and the pommel horse appears to hate all Americans :(

BUT, congrats to Danell Leyva for recovering enough to gain a bronze…way to go Danell!!!

Also on the upside and more consistent then other sports, swimming athletes have once again gotten the job done!!! Among the USA wins were golds for Nathan Adrian and the women’s team in the 4×200.

And aren’t we all glad to not be among those disqualified in badminton?!! Maybe they’ll call me up now for my Olympic moment…I’m available!!! :)

Here’s the medal count as of day five…no worries China, we’ll catch up and surpass you in track and field, if not sooner! GO USA!
