Sooooo, a high school in Utah won’t use the “Cougar” as its mascot because it may offend women over 40 years old. What?? Yahoo Sports even goes on to say that the school board allowed the student body to vote and Cougars won by a landslide.

What do they tell the kids now? Yeah…well, you picked the wrong one so we’ve decided to become the CHARGERS! (True story, they really did pick Chargers over Cougars) Well, honestly, that offends my credit cards…and all teenage girls in the world, except for Utah.

Never mind the fact that the local college (BYU) is the Cougars…I guess this particular school board is showing how much smarter they are than those at the collegiate level.

Next thing you know people will start complaining about Chiefs, Indians, and Braves as mascots…but unless you’re in Utah, they’ll ignore you.   

What do y’all think? Has it gone too far or should the kids’ choice be honored?
