Ok, so I’ve had this WTH question for quite some time when it comes to sports, but last night?  O.  M.  G.  It broke my heart to watch poor little ol’ Jordyn Wieber.  As they completed the last apparatus in gymnastics (floor), she found out her overall score for the night was not in the top two of the USA team.  That means she does not get to participate in the individual all-around.  A dream this current World Champion has had her entire little life and what she has trained so hard for all these years.  As we say in the South “Bless her heart ya’ll”.  Seriously.  Who knew the real competition of the night was not USA against all others, but USA girls against each other?

And then…as the truth sinks in and she realizes her every individual dream of being the best of the best is shattered……..she sobs…….rightfully so, if you ask me……and what happens next??

WTH……..you want to interview her?  Are you kidding me?  Leave the poor kid alone and let her grieve in peace.  Talk to her tomorrow.  I turned the TV off, I couldn’t bear to watch so I don’t know if they got their interview or not, but it always goes the same. “So, (insert Athlete’s name), you’ve just lost everything you’ve trained for…your life is shattered (insert and you’ve had five seconds to grasp the meaning of it)….so how does that make you feel?”

HOW DO YOU THINK THEY FEEL???

Give her tissues and go away reporters…
