End of Day Six…

USA teams were taking care of business on day six.  In some very highly anticipated events Gabby got the Gold in the women’s gymnastics individual all around, Phelps and Lochte got Gold and Silver respectively in a much awaited matchup, so with those and some others great medal achievements on day six, we finally took the medal count lead.

I don’t expect to lose the lead with track and field events coming up, but we shall see. GO USA!!

Happy Bloggin’ Ya’ll!

End of Day Three…

The good, the bad, and the ugly.  That’s what happened today for the good ol’ US of A.  The good really was great with Missy Franklin and Matt Grevers gaining Gold in swimming, while Team Captain Rebecca Soni earned a Silver…..and I heard we got a bronze in Judo and a bronze in men’s synchonized diving, but the bad and the ugly happened in the gymnastics arena.  Wow, what a disappointing round for our guys and so very shocking.  Congrats to China, Japan (questionable ending), and Great Britain for being able to make it to the podium…especially GB!  It’s been so long since GB has medaled in gymnastics, the commentators said there’s not a person alive who saw their previous medal win. What do you say over there…good day mate….bloody awesome gent…something along those lines, I believe. :)

But to check out the  gymnastics drama of why the Japanese team went from no medal to Silver, Great Britain went from Silver to Bronze, and the poor Ukraine went from Bronze to nothing within a five minute timeframe, read this Sports Illustrated Article…and then send all your well wishes to the USA gymnasts….you’ve still got individuals guys!! HANG IN THERE!!

Meanwhile, here are the medal standings after three days……..
